The tool used to update firmware is Flash Magic (version 7.40.3104 or later).
Firmware Upgrade General Information
To update the firmware, you need to load 2 different Hex files:
FLASH_ONEKBD.hex
SPIFI_ONEKBD.hex
SPIFI_LOGO.hex (optional)
The repeater panel must be powered.
How To: Upload the FLASH_ONEKBD.hex File
Panel Side:
Insert the Serial cable into Y3 connector
Insert the Serial cable (PC site connection) on the PC
Switch the SW1 to the left
Press the SW9 reset button
At this point, the display turns off.
Personal Computer Side:
Run Flash Magic.exe
Select in the “Select” field LPC4088 in the ARM Cortex menu
Select into the “COM Port” field the used serial port number
Select into the “Baud Rate” field 115200 or 57600 value
Select into the “Interface” field None (ISP)
Select into “Hex File” the FLASH_ONEKBD.hex that is necessary to program into the board
Select into “Oscillator (MHz)” field 12 value
Check “Erase all Flash+Code Rd Prot”
Check “Verify after programming”
Press the “Start” button.
Turn off the Repeater and turn it back on. Do not change the position of SW1.
How To Upload the SPIFI_ONEKBD.hex File
Run Flash Magic.exe
Select in the “Select” field Generic SPI LPC4088 EA in the External Flash menu
Select into the “COM Port” field the used serial port number
Select into the “Interface” field None(ISP)
Select into “Hex File” the SPIFI_ONEKBD.hex that is necessary to program into the board
Check “Erase blocks used by Hex File”
Press the “Start” button on the Flash Magic tool.
Turn off the Repeater and turn it back on. Do not change the position of SW1.
Optional: How To Upload the SPIFI.LOGO.hex File
By default, the panel will have the Eurotech Logo: if you need to change logo with a custom logo please follow the following procedure:
Run Flash Magic.exe
Select in the “Select” field Generic SPI LPC4088 EA in the External Flash menu
Select into the “COM Port” field the used serial port number
Select into the “Interface” field None(ISP)
Select into “Hex File” the SPIFI_LOGO.hex that is necessary to program into the board
Check “Erase blocks used by Hex File”
Press the “Start” button on the Flash Magic tool.
When all 3 files have been updated:
Remove the Serial cable from the board
Switch the button SW1 to the right
Press the SW9 button
Toccare Repeater's Serial Cable (for previous cards to TD587B version)
It’s a serial cable with one 9 pin female connector and one one-way connector connected as shown in figure.
Toccare Repeater's Serial Cable (for cards from TD587B version higher)
It’s a serial cable with one 9-pin female connector and one one-way connector connected as shown in the figure. The ONE2 slave FW update cable can be used.
